Just a short distance from Church Plain we came across the Great Yarmouth Fishermen's Hospital which was erected in 1702 and restored in 1929-1930.Today it looks as if it has been converted in to Alms houses.

Church Plain also has the 17th-century timber-framed house, in which Anna Sewell (1820–1878), author of 'Black Beauty', was born.
