Welcome back. We had intended to tour Austria this September but have now decided to visit by flying there for a couple of long weekends. It just didn't seem worth the hassle and expense of driving there with 'Freddie Fendt'. Instead we're going to have a farewell tour of parts of the UK, namely those parts we had a shot at visiting last year but gave up in the end due to the bad weather. Because of the uncertainty of the climate I don't understand why people holiday in the UK. So we'll be heading north along the east side of England before heading west to the Kielder Forest and then return south pretty much down the middle, ending up in the Cotswolds. Only days before setting off we decided to replace Freddies starter motor. It had been playing up for quite some time, but only when trying restart when the engine was hot. The past couple of times we'd gone out for a spin we became even worse and we felt we shouldn't be setting off with it in that condition. Fortunately the lads at the garage pulled out all the tops and within 48 hours of a phone call to them we'd had a new one fitted, just two days before we set off.
Following our experiences last year our expectations for this little trip is pretty low.
So fingers crossed and here we go................
